There are so many fun activities in Queenstown, but I personally think the most thrilling thing to do on the water is jet boating. The shot-over jetboat is probably the best of the bunch.

The reason I think so is because the Shotover Jet is a jetboat that runs through canyons, unlike many other jetboats that run over vast lakes.

As you walk around the center of Queenstown, you'll see price boards for a number of activities. These price boards will give you an idea of how much a Queenstown jet boat ride will cost.

A typical Queenstown jet boat ride costs $99 (about $80). If you look at the price list, you'll see that the prices for other activities are outrageous. While not a jet boat, a slow boat cruise on the lake is $59 (about $50).

The most expensive Shotover Jet in Queenstown jetboat prices is $159 for an adult. But what is the difference between a regular Queenstown jetboat and a shotgun jet that causes such a price difference?

You'll see a red sign that says SHOTOVER JET, and you can take the free white Shotover Jetboat shuttle bus up the street.

Those taking the free shuttle bus must enter the building to check in, and do so at least 45 minutes before their scheduled shotgun jetboat ride.

How to book a shotgun jetboat
