How to purchase an annual pass for the 2025 Queenstown ski area opening date
In the winter, people from all over New Zealand travel to Queenstown to ski and snowboard. Here are the opening dates for Queenstown's ski areas in 2025, the prices of annual passes and how to buy them. The 3 Peak pass in particular gives you access to all three of Queenstown's famous ski areas at once.
Queenstown Ski Resort to open in 2025

Winter has finally arrived in Queenstown, New Zealand, and since we typically enter winter in June, we've got about two months to go.
With that much time left, skiers and snowboarders will be wondering when Queenstown Ski Resort will open in 2025, and I'm here to tell you.
Queenstown Ski Resort opening date in 2025
Coronet Peak
Queenstown is home to the Remarkables ski area and the most famous is Coronet Peak. I've been there once, and it's nice that it's not too far from the city.
If you're interested in going to Coronet Peak, we've put together a list of the price differences (as of last year) between renting ski gear clothing, etc. from Coronet Peak and specialized rental shops.
Remarkables
It's further from the city than Coronet Peak, but that's still the reason many people visit Queenstown ski area.
Mt.hutt
In fact, even if you buy the 3 Peak Pass, which gives you access to Coronet Peak, the Remarkables, and finally Mount Hutt, Mount Hutt is too far from Queenstown.
If you're not looking to explore all of New Zealand's ski areas, Queenstown's Coronet Peak and Remarkables ski areas are probably the best bang for your buck in terms of time.
Queenstown Ski Area Annual Pass Prices in 2025
Above we looked at the Queenstown ski area opening dates for 2025, but now it's time to take a look at the 3 Peak Pass prices (annual pass prices) for this year.
If you were in a rush to get out skiing or snowboarding this year, you may have purchased an annual pass at a bargain price.
That's a difference of almost $500 from someone who bought this year's annual pass before October 31st last year.
Saver Passes
There's also a great option for those who don't necessarily need to buy an annual pass. Saver Passes are a way to get a small discount on a pass that covers, say, five or six days of rides, but not necessarily an entire year.
For example, four days at Coronet Peak costs $490 per adult ($122.5 per day). However, if you purchase Saver Passes and enjoy 5 days, the cost would be $115 per day for a total of $575. For 6 days, the cost would be $110 per day for a total of $660. You get the idea.
The above Saver Passes must also be purchased before April 30, 2025 to receive the discount.
