How to book and review Queenstown tourist attraction Deer park heights (Deer park heights)

Queenstown's Deerpark Heights is a tourist attraction where you can enjoy beautiful views of Queenstown and see a variety of animals at the same time. It's not too far from the center of town, and I think families, especially those with kids, will love it. How to book Deerpark Heights and reviews Let's get started.

Deer Park Heights Deer

As the name suggests, you can actually see deer in Deer Park Heights. It was also the first time I had seen deer outside of a zoo, and while the cute little baby deer were tiny, the size of the adult deer was bigger than I expected.

Deer Park Heights is a great place to feed deer and other animals, and it's also famous for being the location of the Lord of the Rings movies. If you go there, you might even have flashbacks to scenes from the movie.

One of the reasons I come here so often is for the beautiful views of Queenstown, and it's always fun to see the city from up high.

Deerpark Heights Location

The Deerpark Heights location is on the way to Kelvin heights. It's a good 20 minute drive from the center of town.

If you're going, you should definitely drive. The only way to get in is to drive your own car or rent one, as there are no sightseeing bus tours allowed, and you'll be driving up the mountain to do the activities mentioned above.

Most of the vehicles we passed on the way up were SUVs. I took my small two-wheel drive (2WD) vehicle with me, and despite its small size, it didn't have much trouble getting up and down. Just keep in mind that the road is sloped and dirt, so you'll get more dirt on your car than you think when you're done.

There is a cost to going up to Deerpark Heights. There is a charge per car, which is $55 (44000 won). This is on the cheaper side of Queenstown's notoriously expensive activities. The maximum number of people in the car is 8.

It seems like an affordable amount for a couple or family to go and enjoy a day with no time limit.

Machines that can buy prey

The first animal you will see after entering is a pig, and in front of it is a feeder where you can feed the animal. First, you need to place the can under the feeder, insert a coin, and pull the lever to drop the feed.

It is recommended that you bring several $2 coins with you to purchase feed. The pigs may seem scary, but they are fenced off so you can feed them without worry.

The best part of growing up in Deer Park Heights is seeing the deer. Deer are very wary and usually run away when people call them or approach them, but this time they weren't so wary when I drove by in my car.

Deer

I visit Deer Park Heights a lot, and this is the first time I've ever seen a deer this close. Deer aren't the only animals in Deer Park Heights; you'll find cows, pigs, ducks, alpacas, donkeys, and goats, but the goats are the most unafraid of people.

The goats travel in herds, so when they saw the car pull in, they were expecting to be fed. They surround the car and scream to be fed quickly.

So if you're driving a car, you have to be extra careful when passing goats. They don't get scared or run away when a car approaches. I was the one who was more worried about hitting a goat while driving.

When you get to the top, you really do get a 360-degree view of Queenstown. It's a great view, and you can even see where they filmed The Lord of the Rings. I can't remember which scene, but at least that's what the sign said.

Queenstown as seen from Deerpark Heights

Even if you're not a fan of animals, this Queenstown attraction is a great way to get a feel for the city's landscape. The photo above was taken while parked halfway up. There's a bench where you can grab a bite to eat, which was nothing special, but it tasted really good with a view like this.

Finalize

Deerpark Heights is a tourist attraction where you can spend time with a variety of animals while enjoying the views of Queenstown.

I think it's a great place for animal lovers and people who like natural landscapes, especially kids. Even if you go up there and walk around slowly, you can probably spend about 2 hours there.

Best of all, the reasonable price of $55 seems to be a very attractive part of all this fun. From Queenstown to Ski, Jetboat If you've done it, you'll know what I'm talking about.
