I live in Queenstown, so I often go to see the Kawarau Bungee Jump. It's where I take my friends and family when they come to visit, and a few days ago I got to experience it for myself.

Even though I didn't jump myself, it was thrilling to watch people jump off the 43-meter bridge.

I've often said that I go to Kawarau to see the bungee jump, and it's only a short drive away. If you told me it was an hour away, I wouldn't go.

30 minutes from Queenstown city center, Airports located near Franktonis about 15-20 minutes away, so give yourself an hour and a half to two hours to plan your trip to Queenstown.

Queenstown is notorious for not having much parking, and parking is expensive, but parking at Queenstown's Kawarau Bungee Jump is free. Busis hard to get to, so I guess you could call it a con if you need a car.

I'm terrified of bungee jumping, but that woman over there was so brave, she didn't hesitate, she just jumped, and my heart was pounding.

The Queenstown Kawarau Bungee Jump is approximately 43 meters high. It used to be that when you jumped you were picked up by a boat waiting in the river below, but nowadays you just pull yourself back up the rope and are picked up at the top.

This is what the Kawarau bungee jump looks like. The day I went was an off and on rainy day, so it was a bit wet. If you go on a nice day, especially between 10am and 2-3pm, it's very photogenic.

1) Why it's fun to watch, even if you don't run.

At first, I thought, "I'm not even going to bungee jump, so why go there?" But then I realized that even if you don't do it, it's pretty fun to watch other people do it.

And there are no restrictions on just watching - it's free to enter the building, it's free to go inside, and it's free to go beyond the viewing platforms to where the bungee jumps are.

I get to see the people who do it put on the safety gear right in front of me, so I get a sense of what it's like without having to do it.

My heart was beating as fast as the people on the bungee jump, especially on the left side of the bleachers where you get the best views. Some people took a long time to jump, which made sense when I looked down.

On the other hand, the kids were really brave. In the video below, the kid jumped within seconds, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ I was like, "Wow," and I was like, "Wow," and I was like, "Wow.

2) Queenstown Kawarau Bungee Jump Prices

The Queenstown Kawarau Bungee Jump is currently priced at $320. It's expensive, right? There are some things you can't do because you're too scared, and some things you can't do because of the price.

Once inside the building, you can choose from three activities: bungee jumping, swinging, and ziplining. To summarize the prices, here are the prices in New Zealand dollars.

  • Kawarau Bungee Jump: $320
  • Kawarau Swing: $240 (1 person), $400 (2 people), $480 (3 people)
  • Zipline: $50

You don't have to book online, you can do it on-site. Once you book and pay, all you have to do is enter your personal details and agree to the consent form. For reference, the consent form asks whether you have any medical conditions and whether you are aware of any accidents.

Even inside the building, you can watch the live feed from the outside cameras on a screen. If you're not a fan of the cold, you can stay warm and enjoy the event together inside the building.
