And then this morning I woke up and looked out the window and it was snowing, and I had just put out the cherry blossoms and I had just taken a picture of them and posted it in the thread, and then all of a sudden it was snowing.

As we come to the end of October, it's time to recap the October weather in Queenstown, and it's been pretty unpredictable. We had snow today, but we also had a lot of really wet days, especially rain.

Queenstown October Dress Up

If you're thinking it's spring in Queenstown at this time of year and you're thinking about dressing lightly, you'd be wrong - it's definitely cold in the mornings and at night. It's a good idea to bring something thicker than a spring windbreaker, if not a full winter jumper.
I think it's also helpful to have some layers (hoodies, round tees, etc.) underneath your jumper so you can dress for the occasion. Queenstown is windy and chilly.
The most important part of dressing for October in Queenstown is to bring a raincoat or waterproof jumper. Or at the very least, bring an umbrella, because it's October in Queenstown and it's likely to rain within moments of being inside a building.
