Nomads Queenstown Hostel

Nomads Queenstown Hostel

My first choice for budget accommodation in Queenstown is Nomads Queenstown Hostel. I think it's a great value for the location and price. The location is a 1 minute walk from the lake front.

I've stayed here before, and it's a great place with great service. As a hostel, the lounge and kitchen are shared. There are rooms with good privacy, and there are also dormitory-style rooms with multiple people sharing. Of course, there are price differences.

In particular, the lobby of Nomads Queenstown Hostel is full of pamphlets about the many activities in Queenstown, which we recommend reading in front of the warm fireplace in the lobby during the winter months.

Adventure Q2 Hostel

Adventure Q2 Hostel

Similar in feel to Nomads Queenstown Hostel is Adventure Q2 Hostel, a budget accommodation in Queenstown. The location is in the center of Queenstown, on the street behind McDonald's. It's a 5 minute walk to the lake, so the location is great.

It's warm and clean at the same time, which makes it a favorite among many travelers. It's also very user-friendly, with an overall rating of 9.6 out of 10 on Hostelworld's website, so I wouldn't hesitate to book this hostel for the price.

There are lots of photos on the website, so if you're curious about what the hostel looks like, you can check out the links below.

Adventure Queenstown Hostel

Adventure Queenstown Hostel

Our next Queenstown budget accommodation is Adventure Queenstown Hostel. The location is directly across the street from McDonald's in Queenstown.

What I personally like about this hostel is that it gets a lot of sunlight when the weather is nice, and the road in front of it is wide enough that you have an unobstructed view.

The kitchen is located on the top floor of the hostel, and when you open the door, you'll be greeted with a terrace-like space. It's a great place to sit and relax, or lean out on the balcony and take in the stunning views of Queenstown.

I think it's the best place to watch people paragliding down from the top of the skyline.

Haka House Queenstown

Haka House Queenstown

Haka House Queenstown is where I actually stayed, and it's my fourth best value accommodation in Queenstown. It's a little further up the road than the previous three I mentioned. The distance to the lake is about a 10-minute walk.

We have 4-5 parking lots that we provide for visitors at our own property. I remember renting a car at the time, which made parking easy.

There is a washer and dryer in the house to do your laundry. What was unique was that there were two kitchens. Depending on the location of the room you are staying in, you can use the kitchen at your convenience.

Another thing I really liked about this hostel was the large windows in front of the kitchen for cooking and eating. There aren't a lot of rooms, and depending on the room you book, you might feel cramped.

However, this is unlikely to be a problem for those who spend a lot of time outdoors while living in Queenstown. Restrooms and showers are shared.

Finalize
