Skyline Queenstown Parking

Skyline Queenstown is a popular tourist attraction for many visitors to Queenstown. However, one of the main complaints visitors have is parking.

Skyline Queenstown didn't have its own parking garage, so it was common to have to park in a public lot far away and walk up, or struggle up a steep hill from a bus stop far below.

As you can see from the photo, the parking garage has five levels, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a spot in the future.

If you're in Queenstown and want to take a gondola ride up to enjoy the beautiful views of Queenstown, a buffet, luge, and other activities, check out my article Queenstown skylinefor more information.

Once you're in the parking lot, there's no such thing as a parking ticket - the cameras automatically recognize your license plate, and the barriers go up after that. You can park wherever you want. However, please do not park in a disabled parking space unless you have a disability.

It was newly built, so I think they did a good job of keeping it clean. The parking lot was big, so parking was easy. In fact, there weren't many cars parked there.

Parking lot curve ramps

The stairs and elevators are located near curved ramps that provide access to and from each floor. Each floor can be accessed via these ramps.

Of course, the accessible parking stalls are located in the most accessible part of the lot. Once you've parked, you can now take the stairs or elevator down to the ground floor.

You'll see these elevators as you walk out the door.

I used this machine to pay my bill, but I'll update if I find out if there's another way.

Finalize

Today, we've learned about Skyline Queenstown parking rates and discounts, and how the process works. We've been struggling with parking every time we've gone to Skyline, and we're so glad to have this straightened out.

I hadn't been here in a long time and was surprised to see that the parking structure was completed. Not only is there a parking structure, but there is also space for tourist buses to park, so I hope that more tourists will come to visit the skyline in the future.
