Introducing the #1 website to find salaries by profession in New Zealand
Many people in Korea are curious about the salary of each profession in New Zealand and whether it is in high demand. You can also find many questions about the salary and demand of bakers, bakers, artists, and other professions on Naver Knowledge Base. This website is the only place to go to get all the information you need about New Zealand jobs.
Salary by Occupation in New Zealand Why do you want to know?
If you look at the questions on Naver's Knowledgebase, immigration is the most common word that goes hand-in-hand with traveling. It seems that there are many people who want to leave Korea and live in New Zealand.
If you're planning to immigrate to New Zealand, you're probably wondering a lot about how to make a living. If you know this website, you can easily find out the salary of each job in New Zealand right from Korea, so I'll introduce it right away.
Career.govt.nz website
This is a website where you can find out everything about jobs in New Zealand, including salaries for each job in New Zealand. It's a government-run website, as you can probably guess by the fact that it's labeled GOVT.
When you enter, you'll be greeted by the homepage front page, which features a cool Maori man from New Zealand standing with his arms crossed. The menu is organized as follows
If you're curious about salaries by occupation in New Zealand, head straight to the Career.govt.nz website.
Salary by Occupation in New Zealand
You can get a lot of different information from the website, but you're probably most interested in what the salary and demand is for the job you're considering.
I'm going to select a job of my choice to show you an example. First, I'm going to go to the Job profiles menu, which is the second from the top menu.
You can also use the search bar to type in an occupation directly. If you're not sure how to say what you think you do in New Zealand, you can drill down further by selecting from the occupations below the search bar.
I'm going to look up which job titles include Data analyst, which is what I want, and since I'm analyzing, I'm going to go with IT and Telecommunications.
I go in and see that it's divided into Information Technology and Telecommunications. I don't speak much English, but I noticed the phrase analyzing under Information Technology and selected the green button, Jobs in this area.
We found it, Data Analyst Let's click More about this job to get more information.
Above you can see a brief description of what a data analyst is, along with salary, job demand, and the average length of time it takes to train for the job.
You can think of job oppoturnities as job demand, and there is a shortage of data analyst jobs, so it's not that hard to get a job. (Good)
It also talks about the basic amount of time you need to study to become a data analyst in the first place, which is about two to three years. If you scroll down further, it goes into a lot more detail about the skills, dispositions, and where you can work for the job.
While today's topic is salaries by profession in New Zealand, it's also important to consider the cost of living in the country to determine if the salary is relatively high or not. If you're curious about the cost of living in New Zealand, I'll leave you with a link to the original post below.
What is the salary of the person you saw on Naver's Knowledge Base who wanted to work in baking?
Baker is not a salary, it is known as an hourly rate. It's between $23 and $30 per hour in New Zealand dollars. Let's roughly convert it to an annual salary: let's say you work a standard 40 hours a week, and let's do the math for a year (52 weeks). The exchange rate is 800 won.
If you work in New Zealand as a Baker, you can expect to earn somewhere between the two above. Please note that these are generalizations and you can earn anything above these amounts depending on your experience and skills.
Job demand is optimistic. In my personal opinion, there seems to be a shortage of jobs in New Zealand in almost all occupations. The cost of living in New Zealand has gone up a lot in recent years, and many good workers have gone to Australia in search of higher salaries and quality of life.
There is already a shortage of jobs, which is exacerbated by the fact that so many local Kiwis and immigrants are leaving for Australia.
We also looked at the salary of a Chef in New Zealand, and since there are several different positions, there are different hourly rates depending on the position. For a typical Chef, the salary seems to be lower than the Baker above.
They say it's 2023 data, but I think the reality is higher than that, and I'm making a higher hourly wage than that. So that's just for reference.
In our post on finding a job in Queenstown, we talked about the process of finding a Chef job, interviews, and pay rates. If you're curious, you can also check out the post below.

Today, I introduced a good website that shows the salary of each job in New Zealand, which many people in Korea are curious about. And just like the Korean job site, there is a famous job search site in New Zealand, and I'll tell you about it. It's called Seek.
All you need to do is type the job and where to find it in the search bar. What's great about the Seek site is that you can see realistic hourly or annual salaries right away. If you get a chance, I highly recommend that you give Seek a try and see what it's like to search for a job.
